The Bookkeeper Behind
Kosma Books

I built Kosma Books around something that has always come naturally to me — bringing organization, clarity, and structure to the details behind a business.

The Story Behind Kosma Books

Why I Built Kosma Books

Long before I knew bookkeeping was something I could build a business around, I was already doing the kind of work I naturally gravitate toward — organizing, tracking, figuring things out, and making sure the details didn't get lost.

Over the years, I've taken on different kinds of work and built businesses of my own. But I kept noticing the same thing: while the work itself might change, I was always drawn to what was happening behind it — the spreadsheets, the numbers, the paperwork, and the systems that kept everything moving.

Give me a spreadsheet that needs organizing, numbers that need tracking, paperwork that needs a system, or a process that's more complicated than it needs to be, and I'm in my element.

That's what led me to Kosma Books.

Bookkeeping gave a name — and a purpose — to the kind of work I'd been drawn to for years.

Kosma Books grew from that realization. It's a business built around helping other business owners bring order to an area that can quickly become overwhelming when they're already managing everything else.

I want you to know what's happening with your books, trust that the details are being handled, and have one less thing competing for your attention.

Because your business may have a lot of moving parts. Your books don't have to feel like one of them.

Organization

I don't just like things organized. I build systems designed to help them stay that way.

Clarity

Your numbers should help you understand your business — not leave you with more questions.

Consistency

The details handled along the way are often what prevent bigger problems later.

What Working Together Looks Like

Clear Communication. Organized Processes. Fewer Loose Ends.

I believe you should know what’s happening with your books and what’s needed from you. I keep communication direct, expectations clear, and the process organized so we can keep things moving.

Direct

You Work With Me

When you have a question or I need something from you, communication stays between us. You know who’s handling your books and who to contact when something comes up.

Organized

There’s a Process Behind the Work

I’m a systems person. I like information where it belongs, clear processes for recurring tasks, and a workflow that helps keep important details from getting lost.

Straightforward

Questions Don’t Get Buried

If something doesn’t make sense, I’ll ask. If I need information from you, I’ll tell you what I need and why, rather than guessing and hoping it works itself out.

Your bookkeeping relationship shouldn’t leave you wondering what’s happening behind the scenes.

What I Bring to the Work

I Know There’s More Behind a Business Than the Numbers

My path to bookkeeping hasn’t been a straight line — and I consider that an advantage. I’ve built businesses, handled the work behind them, created systems when there wasn’t one, and learned by doing. It taught me to look beyond an individual task and understand how the pieces affect one another.

I’m not looking at your books from outside the realities of running a business. I know what it feels like to be responsible for one.

01

A Business Owner’s Perspective

I understand that bookkeeping isn't happening in a vacuum. You're balancing clients, deadlines, expenses, decisions, and everything else your business requires. Your bookkeeping process needs to fit into that reality.

02

A Problem-Solving Mindset

When something feels unnecessarily complicated, my instinct is to figure out why. I look for practical ways to organize the information, simplify the process, and make the next time easier than the last.

03

Attention to the Details

I notice when something doesn't line up, and I'm curious enough to want to know why. I'd rather investigate a small inconsistency than ignore it and discover later that it mattered.

A Good Fit Looks Like

We Don’t Have to Speak Bookkeeping. We Do Have to Communicate.

You don’t have to love bookkeeping, know all the terminology, or have everything perfectly organized before we start. What I do need is open communication and a willingness to work with me when I have questions or need information from you.

You don’t need perfect books before reaching out. Getting things organized may be exactly where we begin.
Communication

You’ll Ask When Something Isn’t Clear

You don’t need to know bookkeeping terminology. If something I say doesn’t make sense, ask me. I’d rather explain it than have you walk away from a conversation still wondering what I meant.

Responsiveness

You’ll Get Back to Me When I Need You

I can handle the bookkeeping, but I can’t always answer questions about your business without you. There will be times when I need a document, clarification, or an answer so I can keep your books moving.

Progress

You Want Things to Work Better Going Forward

Whether your books are already in good shape or we’re starting with a cleanup, I’m interested in more than getting through this month. I want us to build a process that becomes easier to maintain over time.
